Watch Your Eyes Read

Your camera follows your eyes on a page, then with RSVP. One trace is a sawtooth. The other is a flat line.
Screen Strain Check
“My eyes get tired when I read on a screen.”
Counts your blinks while you read and measures how close you sit and how much you squint.
Reread Counter
“I keep rereading the same paragraph.”
Read line by line. Every time you go back is counted, and so is the time it costs.
Zone-Out Test
“My mind wanders while my eyes keep going.”
Nonsense sentences are hidden in a story. The ones you read straight past show when you were gone.
Stay Test

About the Reading Lab
What do these tools measure?
Each one measures one thing by having you read. The Reading Diagnostic finds your main bottleneck. The Perfect Speed Finder finds the fastest speed where your answers stay correct. The Reading Mode Showdown compares four reading methods on you. The Reread Counter counts going back, the Zone-Out Test checks whether you notice hidden nonsense, the Stay Test times how long you read before leaving, and the PDF report shows how long a document will really take.
Are they free?
Yes. No account, no email. Results are kept in your browser and are not uploaded. PDFs are read on your device.
What is RSVP?
RSVP stands for rapid serial visual presentation. Words appear one at a time in a fixed spot, so your eyes stay still. Several tools compare a normal page with RSVP so you can see the difference in your own results. Read the guide to RSVP reading or try the free reader.
